Sam L. Jenkins Jr.

Attorney Sam Jenkins, Jr. has a long history of successful trials, mediations and settlements. A graduate of Southern University and the Southern University Law Center, Jenkins received a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctor. His clients benefit from his nearly 40 years of experience in the practice of law, with a special emphasis in medical malpractice since 1993.

Attorney Jenkins has brought cases against utility companies for rate violations and customer overcharging. Representing plaintiffs in serious injury, death and Workers Compensation cases, Jenkins presently has litigation pending in several jurisdictions in Louisiana involving claims for death, brain injuries and

amputations. He has successfully litigated cases involving toxic exposures to asbestos, silica sand and oil field contamination, and trial experience with criminal cases. Jenkins provides consultation and preparation of successions, wills and power of attorney.

Invested in the community and state, he presently serves as Louisiana State Senator for District 39. Attorney Jenkins previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 2, and as former Chairman of House Democratic Caucus.
